Arizona Gold Prospecting Classes

Learn how to prospect for GOLD in the deserts and mountains of Arizona…and find your own GOLD! Most of our prospecting classes take place in areas 1-2 hours North of Phoenix.

  • Learn all about gold, where it comes from, and where to find it
  • All equipment included for use that day
  • Keep all the gold you find!

Here is are some of the subjects you will learn about:

    • We discuss the sources of gold, specifically the area we are in, and how it moves
    • How to choose a good spot to prospect, reading a river/desert, and good digging techniques
    • Panning techniques, the most critical step in effective prospecting

  • Using other prospecting equipment to refine and get the gold
  • Hands on panning instruction
  • And of course, finding some gold!

GOLD PROSPECTING

3 HOUR PROSPECTING CLASS:
An introduction to gold prospecting covering all the basics
LIMIT: 4 persons/class
3-hour class $110/per person
NOTE: Our prospecting classes are very physical activities. These classes are not recommended for anyone with physical limitations.

METAL DETECTING

(only available October 20 through April 30)

3 HOUR METAL DETECTING CLASS:
An introduction to metal detecting covering all the basics
(equipment can be supplied on request)
LIMIT: 2 persons/class
3-hour class $125/per person

Most of our classes take place in Bumble Bee and Prescott AZ.

Also, our classes are very physical and not recommended for those with any physical limitations or children under 8.
