BIG DIG III dates set: July 22-24, 2011

December 28, 2010 in: General

We are starting to make plans for BIG DIG III up in Bath NH for next summer. If you have any requests for the type of events or just some fun ideas, let me know. Remember, once we post the dates, you are responsible to make camping reservations at Twin River Campground.

Remember, too, that Twin River is merely the “gathering place”. This is not a “hosted” event by the campground or anything like that, so please don’t call them asking for details. 🙂

OK, looks like we are going to be planning BIG DIG III for July 22-24. Keep checking back, these are preliminary dates, but pretty darn close to final!!

    Hi,
My buddy wants to try his hand at gold panning so I said I would give it a try with him. Seeing how we are new to this we would love to get together for the BigDig III in july. Anything we need to know for our trip to NH? We will be coming from Connecticut. Thanks

You’ll just need to bring or purchase some basic prospecting equipment. See my post called “New to gold prospecting?” for a list. You can buy the stuff at Twin River.

Also, most of us will be staying on the riverside of the campground. There are small cabins, campsites and showers there.

We really look forward to meeting you all this summer!!

  4. Just ran across this post and my wife and I are interested. We sell detectors and prospecting gear around the country, but we love getting out with groups. We have a home base in MA for the summer and would love to attend your outing. We have tons of demo equipment for people to play with as well.

That sounds cool! But the campground sells prospecting supplies, so you may want to touch base with them before you unpack your wares…unless they are just for “playing”! Just remember to book your campsite early. The sites go fast, especially down on the riverside. Hope to see you there! And if you need any help with your website, give me a holler at http://www.SonoraDesignWorks.com

Glad to see some interested parties! We have a lot of fun trading stories around the campfire and sharing tips on the river, so hope you folks can come!

@Terry – don’t worry about being “newbies” – we’re all there for the fun of it and love to show folks what we’ve learned in hopes of raising interest (as well as learning from those who’ve been at it longer than we!)

    🙂 Is it July yet???
