Wickenburg is an historical location for gold mining in Arizona and we have had several classes there. Noah demonstrated the desert prospecting techniques of dry washing and panning where there is no water…and lots of sunshine!

Glen was adventurous on Sunday taking Dustin and Summer up to the Agua Fria in Arizona when the forecast was for 114°. Luckily it cooled down during the night and the morning was perfect for hiking and prospecting!

We had a beautiful day on the Swift River in Maine last Saturday with Ted, Ken, Mike and Heidi. Great weather and some nice color. Thanks to Dan for the use of his dredge, worked like a charm!

We had our first 2 Arizona gold prospecting classes this past week. The weather was fantastic and gold to be found. Thanks to our students and looking forward to more Arizona adventures!

We had a great time at our Advanced Prospecting Adventure up in Maine last weekend. Moved some pretty serious rocks and got some nice color! Thanks to Jack for leading the adventure and to Mark & Tom for attending…here are some pics.

Our 8th annual BIG DIG prospecting event was held on July 8-9th and was a blast! Everyone picked up some nice color and one guy really hit it big! Here are some photos from the event:

Our first gold prospecting class of the 2016 season was a “chilly” success. The temps were pretty low when we got started but the day warmed up nicely as did the gold! We got some great panning practice and got a couple sluices running also. Thanks to all who attended!

Well, another BIG DIG has come and gone, but it was certainly a good one! Over 50 attending this year with some new activities like Giant Jenga and a raffle to benefit the local food pantry. Lots of gold too! Thanks to all who made this a great event. Here are some photos…
